Compose

Compose prepares one post for one or more connected channels.

Choose channels

1. Open Compose.
2. Select Destinations.
3. Choose the accounts you want to publish to.
4. Close the list.

Beacon checks the current publishing rules for each selected channel.

Write the post

1. Enter the Post copy.
2. Add any channel details Beacon asks for.
3. Select Choose from Media to add saved media.
4. Review each channel preview.

Beacon names a missing required field beside the affected editor. You can save a draft before you add details needed only for publishing. Saving still requires a selected account and valid text.

Working drafts and saved posts

Compose saves your working draft automatically, including before you choose an account. Save draft creates a post for the selected accounts without publishing it.

An idea or Board can open a working draft in Compose. Ideas and sources for this draft shows its supporting context outside the post editor. Only the editor copy is published. Use Use draft with AI for optional help with the saved material.

After you save the post, the original idea shows it under Linked posts.

Write with AI

Select Write with AI. Enter a clear post brief and audience.

Review every AI draft before you use it. AI writing uses Beacon AI credits.

Save, schedule, or publish

• Select Draft and Save draft to save without publishing.
• Select Schedule and Schedule post to set a future time.
• Select Publish now to request immediate publishing.

Publishing now can require a separate approval.

Schedule several copies

Select Schedule, then choose the first publish time. Select Add another date for each additional copy. You can choose up to 30 dates and schedule up to 100 copies across the selected accounts.

Beacon uses the workspace time zone for every date. Each date creates a separate post with the same text, media, account details, and comment delays. Each copy counts toward the post limit. If the limit cannot fit every copy, Beacon creates none of them.

After scheduling, use Dayboard to edit, move, or cancel each copy separately. Changes to one copy do not change the others. For a post created from an idea or Board, the original source link stays with the first copy.

Delay the first comment

For an account that supports comments, select First comment and enter its copy. Use When to add it to select a preset or Custom delay. Enter the custom delay in minutes, up to 10,080 minutes (7 days). Use 0 for no delay.

The delay starts after the previous part publishes successfully. If Beacon cannot confirm that part went live, it does not send the comment. Comment replies use the same delay control. Availability depends on the selected platform account.
