Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Beacon. By creating an account, joining a workspace, or using Beacon, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.

If you use Beacon for an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these terms for that organization. In that case, “you” includes the organization.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. Account information must be accurate and current.

Keep your sign-in details secure. Do not share an account. You are responsible for activity under your account until you report unauthorized access to Beacon.

Workspace owners and administrators can invite or remove members, assign roles, manage connected services, control workspace content, and change settings. Follow your organization's policies when you use its workspace.

If you lose access to an organization, you can also lose access to its workspace and content. Beacon does not resolve internal disputes about ownership or authority without reliable evidence.

Beacon helps teams collect ideas, prepare content, review it, schedule it, and publish it to connected services. Features can depend on your plan, role, provider approval, and connected account permissions.

Beacon can change, add, or remove features. Beacon will try to give reasonable notice when a material change reduces a paid feature.

You keep ownership of content that you submit to Beacon. You give Beacon a limited, worldwide license to host, copy, process, display, adapt, and transmit that content. Beacon uses this license only to provide, secure, support, and improve the service.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit, process, edit, and publish the content. This includes source material, media, names, personal data, trademarks, and content from connected services. Do not ask Beacon to use content in a way that violates a law or another service's terms.

AI features can produce incomplete, incorrect, or similar results for different customers. You are responsible for reviewing results and for deciding whether to edit, approve, publish, or rely on them.

Do not submit data to an AI feature unless you have permission to use it for that purpose. Your use of a third-party model can also be subject to that provider's terms.

You can connect social networks, content sources, and other supported third-party services. Beacon also uses authentication and payment providers to operate account access and billing. You direct Beacon to exchange the data needed for the features that you use.

Connected services have their own terms, privacy practices, fees, API limits, and availability. Beacon does not control them. A provider can restrict or end Beacon's access, reject content, delay publication, or change its service. You are responsible for your provider accounts and provider charges.

You must not use Beacon to:

• break a law or violate another person's rights;
• publish spam, fraud, malware, or deceptive content;
• harass, exploit, or endanger another person;
• access a workspace, account, or system without permission;
• bypass security, rate limits, approvals, or plan controls;
• probe, disrupt, reverse engineer, or overload the service;
• extract credentials, secrets, or private data;
• use automated access except through an interface or API that Beacon provides for that purpose; or
• resell or sublicense Beacon unless a written agreement permits it.

Checkout and the billing page show paid plans, credit purchases, billing periods, usage limits, and taxes. If you start a recurring subscription, you authorize the payment provider to charge the payment method for each billing period until cancellation.

You can cancel a recurring plan through the available billing controls. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Payments are non-refundable except when the law or a written offer requires a refund. Beacon can limit or suspend paid features if a payment fails or a subscription ends.

You can stop using Beacon at any time. Workspace and account deletion can be subject to ownership, billing, security, retention, and legal requirements.

Beacon can suspend or end access to protect the service or comply with law. Beacon can also act after a payment failure or a material or repeated breach of these terms. Where practical, Beacon will explain the reason and the available recovery step.

Beacon and its licensors own the service, software, design, brand, documentation, and other materials that Beacon provides. These terms do not transfer those rights to you.

If you send feedback, Beacon can use it without restriction or payment to you. Beacon will not identify you publicly as the source without permission.

Each party can receive non-public information from the other. Each party must use reasonable care to protect that information and use it only for this agreement. This duty does not cover public information when no breach made it public. It also does not cover information already known, received lawfully from another source, or developed independently.

Beacon provides the service “as is” and “as available.” To the extent allowed by law, Beacon disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Beacon does not guarantee that a connected service will accept or publish content at a specific time. Keep independent copies of important content and review every post before publication.

To the extent allowed by law, Beacon is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages. Beacon is also not liable for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity.

Beacon's total liability for service claims will not exceed the amount that you paid Beacon. This calculation covers the 12 months before the event that caused the claim. These limits do not apply where the law does not permit them.

If you use Beacon for a business, you will defend and indemnify Beacon against third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs. This duty applies when claims result from your content, connected accounts, unlawful use, or material breach of these terms. This duty applies only to the extent permitted by law.

Beacon can update these terms when the service, risk, or law changes. The page will show the new date. Beacon will provide additional notice before a material change takes effect when required. If you continue to use Beacon after the change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.

These terms and any plan or order details form the agreement about Beacon. If a court cannot enforce one part, the remaining parts continue. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver. You cannot transfer this agreement without Beacon's written consent. Beacon can transfer it as part of a merger, reorganization, financing, or sale of the service.

Beacon is not responsible when events outside its reasonable control cause a delay. Nothing in these terms removes rights that applicable law does not let you waive.
