# Documents

Create a Document from Ideas and use selected content with the Beacon AI assistant.

Documents are individual items inside Ideas. Beacon does not show Documents as a separate main section.

## Create a Document

1. Open **Ideas**.
2. Open **More capture options**.
3. Select **Create document**.
4. Enter **Starting text**, a **Title (optional)**, or both.
5. Select **Create document**.

## Open a Document

Select **Open document** from the saved item. Beacon opens the focused Document editor.

## Use content with AI

Select **Use this Document with AI** to let Beacon's AI assistant use its content for this task.

You can also select text. Then choose **Use selected text with AI**.

The AI assistant can create a draft, suggest different versions, or discuss selected content.

## Review AI suggestions

Use **AI suggestions** to review proposed changes.

- Select **Accept** to apply a suggestion.
- Select **Reject** to keep the current content.
- Select **Discuss** to ask about the suggestion.
