# MCP publication approval

Review and approve an exact immediate-publication request before Beacon sends the post.

Immediate publication uses two separate reviews. Neither review can authorize changed content.

## Confirm the tool call

The MCP client first asks the user to confirm the exact `beacon_create_post` arguments.

An idempotency key identifies one tool request. The confirmed call must include `confirmed: true` and a stable key.

## Complete the Beacon approval

1. Receive the `APPROVAL_REQUIRED` result.
2. Open the returned Beacon approval URL.
3. Review the exact content.
4. Review every destination and provider setting.
5. Review all attached media.
6. Approve the request in Beacon.

The Beacon approval is valid for ten minutes.

## Retry the approved request

1. Add the returned `approvalId`.
2. Keep the same idempotency key.
3. Keep all other arguments unchanged.
4. Call `beacon_create_post` again.

A different user, workspace, content value, destination, setting, or media item requires a new approval.

Do not bypass a denied or expired approval. Request a new approval when the user still wants publication.
