# Connect through MCP

Connect a compatible AI client to Beacon through Model Context Protocol.

Model Context Protocol (MCP) lets a compatible AI client use Beacon tools for a signed-in user.

Use this hosted endpoint:

Use the exact address, including `/mcp`. Do not add an agent key to the MCP configuration.

Hosted MCP is available on every active Beacon plan, including Free. Your plan's post limits and AI credits still apply. Publishing to X through MCP requires Starter or a higher plan.

## Complete browser sign-in

1. Choose the Beacon account.
2. Choose the workspace.
3. Review the requested permissions.
4. Approve the connection.
5. Return to the AI client.

Beacon does not provide a local MCP server that runs on your computer. Use the hosted address for every supported client.
